Hunter Test Classroom offers test prep lessons – combining SamSchool’s proven methodologies, flexibility in schedules and affordability. The detailed video lessons of Hunter Prep Online Classroom offer comprehensive, high-quality test prep to give necessary skills to take Hunter High School Admission Test.

What is in the course?

Hunter Test Online Classroom consists of 30 structured video lessons covering both math and ELA sections for Hunter Admission Test.

Each math lesson deals with one math topic such as fractions, percents change or algebra coin problems and explains how to solve typical SHSAT problems in the topic. Several problems and variations are discussed and solved in the lesson giving the student a complete understanding of the topic and questions based on the topic.

This course provides students with the solid foundation in arithmetic, algebra, geometry and related topics required for success in SHSAT. Specific topics include arithmetic exercises, fractions, ratios & proportions, percents, pre-algebra exercises, statistical problems, algebra exercises, algebra word problems, geometry exercises involving angles, area, volume, lines, triangles, polygons & circles, inequality and more.

ELA lessons illustrate how to answer questions based on reading paragraphs and also ELA revising and editing questions. Valuable strategies and techniques are explained to understand typical SHSAT-style questions in both reading, editing and revising with plenty of examples. The course also includes vocabulary lessons and exercises for better comprehension of reading selections and ELA questions.

Many math and ELA lessons also include do-by-yourself exercises with answer keys.

SHSAT Online Classroom lessons have been meticulously created using the same successful and result-oriented methodology practiced in SamSchool courses which have helped hundreds of students to get SHSAT admissions.

Valuable guidance, tips and techniques are explained in detail to understand and answer SHSAT-style ELA, reading and math questions. Smart answering and effective strategies are discussed and demonstrated in each lesson to solve most problems in about 60 seconds each.

Courseware

There is no separate courseware required for Online Classroom courses. In addition to multiple-exercises discussed in lessons, many lessons also include do-by-yourself exercises with answer keys.

Eligibility

There is no eligibility criteria to register for this course. SHSAT Online Classroom has been designed to benefit students who’ll be taking Hunter High School Admission Test in New York.

This course may not be relevant or useful to students who will NOT be taking Hunter Admission Test.

This course offers 30 online video lessons.

Lesson Schedules

Upon sign-up, registered students will have access to 10 lessons in both math and English. Thereafter, 3 to 4 lessons will be added every week to students’ accounts. All 30 lessons will be accessible by the registered students from December 15, 2017.

Internet requirement

This is an online course and therefore, you’ll be required to have a reliable Internet connection and a suitable device (PC, laptop or tablet).

Course schedule

Upon registration, students may take any lessons in the course, at any time, from any location in the USA or other countries, using any compatible PC, laptop or tablets. (Taking lessons on cell phones is not recommended.)

Duration of the course

Students may start taking lessons as soon as they receive confirmation email after the registration.

The course ends at 6 p.m. on November 5, 2017 for all registrations.

Cancellation and refund policy

Full refund will be offered if a registration is cancelled within five calendar days after registration. No refund will be given if a registration is cancelled after five calendar days after registration.

This intensive program consists of 36 well-structured test prep sessions of 3 hours each. In each session, the students study and solve typical SHSAT-style problems in ELA and math sections. They will receive valuable guidance and tips in understanding and answering ELA, reading and math questions. Smart answering and effective strategies are discussed and practiced during the entire course. Subject topics (such as algebra, fractions, percentages, etc.,) are reviewed and re-visited to reinforce the basics and concepts. The students are particularly trained to complete and review the test within the given time.

The course also administers 3 to 4 full-length practice tests in SHSAT style to assess and improve score levels. Test-prep materials include specially-prepared exercises with illustrations and step-by-step workouts, sample questions & answers and practice tests.

During the course, the students typically practice —

— Over 3,000 math exercises

— Over 200 ELA questions.

— Numerous reading passages.

This course also extends to 4 review sessions at no additional cost before the test in October 2017.
